For the first time this year Budweiser Budvar has made the podium in the Publican magazine's Licensees'; Choice program in the World Beer category by taking Bronze.
In its citation the Publican said "it's been a slow rise to the top but the Czech lager is enjoying a surge in popularity bolstered by consumer interest in world beers and a great ad campaign. Budvar had to reprint its Beauties of Budvar PoS after the drinkers nicked the first lot".
"It's just a start" says Budvar UK's Marketing Controller, Ian Moss "By next year at the rate we are growing we shall have the licensees' awarding us Gold".
