By subjecting the finest local natural ingredients to the unique alchemy of the Budvar brewers, perfected by generations committed to their craft, Budvar's beers have become acknowledged world classics. The recipe is unchanging: the famous Saaz hops from Zatec, Moravian barley malt, a yeast culture, in place since the brewery began in 1895 and virgin clear water from a 300 metre deep Ice Age lake under the brewery , are all rought together in a fabulous 100 day brewing cycle ( 90 spent in the fermentation process). This is because it is one of the Budvar's brewers' dictums that great beer takes time to brew and cannot be hurried.
That this philosophy works is proved not only by the number of awards Budvar has won in events all over the world but by the number of drinkers in 50 countries who swear by its beers, whether it be Original, Dark or Bud Premier Select.
