Planning your visit to the home of Budweiser Budvar
Budweiser Budvarís beers are brewed only in one place in the world, at the Budweiser Budvar brewery in CeskÈ Budejovice, the beautiful and historic main town of Southern Bohemia. This is an area having the reputation of being one of the finest unspoiled natural environments in the Czech Republic, making brewery, town and countryside all equally worth a visit. Also just down the road you will find fairy tale places like Ceske Krumlov and Hluboka. The aim of this leaflet is to make your visitto this part of the world as easy and enjoyable as possible.
As the majority of British visitors are based in Prague during their stay, and usually arrive by air directly from the UK at Prague's Ruzyne airport we have created this document mainly with them in mind.
CeskÈ Budejovice is located a good two and a half hours from Prague by road and a similar time by train. There are no internal flights between here and Prague. So to get the most out of your visit it is really essential to overnight. The hotels in the town are good, but there are not many of them and their occupancy rates are high, so it's advisable to book ahead
to avoid disappointment.

The Maly Pivovar Hotel **** is owned by the Budweiser Budvar brewery offering luxury accommodation in a 16th century building built on the site of one of the first burgher houses where beer was brewed. Located in the city centre, about 50 metres from the main square it has 25 comfortable rooms and four luxury suites. All rooms are en suite with mini bar,
satellite television and direct outside dialling. Secure parking is available. Reservations can be made on-line.
